The Greater Boston Knitting Guild is proud to support the following:
Caps for Kids Beantown– we provide handmade knitted and crocheted items to Boston children every holiday season.
Please consider making items for 6-18 year olds. Larger sizes provide more giving options. If a hat fits you, then it will fit an older child/teen. Please do NOT use buttons to decorate the hats. This can be a choking hazard.
The Newborn Baby Unit at Boston Medical Center – we donate knitted and crocheted items for newborn patients.
Boston Medical Center requests knitted items for babies, including booties, blankets, mittens, hats, and sweaters. Items may be any size from preemie and birth to three years. Preferred fibers are cotton, acrylic, super-wash wool, and wool blends.
Plimoth Plantation 17th Century English Village and Mayflower II – guild members make reproduction knitwear for their role players using Knitted Garb, a collection of knitting patterns for caps, gloves, stockings, mittens and waistcoats worn by the role players.
